These beautiful leaves have been used throughout history to adorn everything from architecture to fabric. Illuminated manuscripts in the fourteenth to sixteenth centuries were filled with acanthus leaf borders and letters. Painted or gilded, they are simply gorgeous! In this workshop I will show you how to draw and paint them for yourself. You will learn how to create a border and two different kinds of letters that use acanthus leaves.
We will look at different ways of drawing and painting these leaves so that you can use them to add gorgeous, detailed decorations to your projects. Watch me create them on video, then download the step by step instructions for yourself.
